It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Zoomed in message center?

I hate it! What is with the zoomed in deviations/message area? It makes my eyes bug out to switch between pages, which I often do.  Is it some firefox thing? Anybody else have the same thing happen?

I sometimes have that too. It often happens when I use the middle button on the mouse to scroll through stuff, and I have the CTRL button pressed at the same time. Fortunately, you just have to press it and move the middle mouse button in the opposite direction to solve the problem.

I got stuck zoomed in for a while had to go to View> Zoom> Zoom out. It was super annoying.

My kids somehow manage to do that with my tablet! I still haven't figured out what buttons they're pushing to cause it! I did have to set my Win7 to lock when I'm away now, so at least they can only do their damage to the login screen. I frequently come back to find that in High Contrast mode, with the on-screen keyboard and magnifier both up! :O_o:

In Firefox if you hold the ctrl button and scroll with the mouse button it will zoom in and out (learned the hard way!) so sometimes it happens :)
